Tomorrow’s update - shutting down sooner
Posted by under UncategorizedFiled under: Updates
The Second Life grid, as previously reported, is shutting down for a server-side update tomorrow. “Server side” means that there won’t be a new viewer update required to get in afterwards, though an updated viewer is coming soon, anyway.
Jean Linden reports at midafternoon today that Linden Lab needs extra time on this update, so the Second Life grid is not going to be down in the usual 7am-12noon timeslot (times in US PT, aka SLT), but will instead be shutting down an hour earlier at 6am. I don’t know about you, but I wish I’d know this about a day earlier, before I’d booked a meeting that would run over the new 6am deadline.
