Chadrick Linden points out that the Risk and Governance teams continue to tighten things up, so we can expect more holds to on accounts with inaccurate information. To make things easier (for them and for the rest of us) they’ve made it possible for accounts that are held because of this to log into the website and change/update their email contact details.
We asked Linden Lab if that was the only criteria they were checking. It is not, but we were not told exactly what information is being checked - having a correct, working email address that you can be contacted on, however, seems to be a key item to getting your details corrected should there be a problem. There seems to be delays in getting those alternate accounts unheld however. We are uncertain but there may be a lot of them. Hundreds. Thousands, perhaps. Maybe more.
